“The unexamined life is not worth living.” that’s what Socrates said. By looking at our past and both remembering and forgetting its lessons, we can begin to answer those questions about who we are, where we want our photography to take us and how we want to get there.

Hi Jeff,
Another thoughtful podcast from you and indeed thoughtful photograph to go with it. As a viewer of ‘Door’ I am placed in a claustrophobic and hard space. That door is sucking me up to it. In a way there is no alternative but to get out of there, to go through the door. It looks like it has been used many times before. This time it might be best to close the door fully behind. Examining Life can be difficult.
Another strong image Jeff. Keep up the good work.
John Crowley
Thanks, John;
I thought that door image would be a good one for this podcast topic… a metaphor for the path we need to take and the hope that the other side would be less ominous than the space we’re in on this side.
Thanks again…
